MOCRA registration to import cosmetics into the U.S.

The opening date of the FDA portal to register companies and cosmetic products for import into America was initially scheduled for October 29. At the time of the announcement by the FDA, our view was that the portal opening date would be postponed because the time frame was too tight.

Instead, it appears that the FDA will be able to meet the October 29 opening date of the MOCRA website. Indeed, screenshots of the portal and the entire procedure for registering U.S. manufacturers and importers of cosmetic products and the ingredients of products to be imported have been published.

The release was made as part of the open public comment period before promulgating rules and regulations, a typical procedure for all federal agencies such as the FDA. This means that the portal is already ready, and it is only a matter of waiting for comments before officially opening MOCRA to register cosmetic products in America.
