American Factories Can’t Find Workers
There’s a hiring crisis in the U.S. manufacturing sector right now, and it may result in a $1 Trillion hit to America’s economy. It not just the skilled jobs, (like welding or machining) that are going begging. Even entry-level jobs are getting harder and harder to fill. Part of the reason is fear of robots taking over, or being transferred overseas. There’s also a perception that factory jobs are “dead-end jobs”, but that is increasingly not the case in modern factories, where A.I. - driven automation still demands input from personnel skilled in troubleshooting and implementation. This is not your father’s factory!
