Staffing issues are hitting the industry hard, with many service-level jobs going unfilled for a variety of reasons. The cause of the shortage is hotly debated – some blame the U.S. govt’s extra $300, others point to the fact that many workers who got laid off due to COVID went on to find better-paying jobs with more flexible schedules. Many tourist destinations continue to operate with limited capacity, and forget about getting a drink at the hotel bar; there's no one to pour it!
